Eat to Live Review: Lose Weight, Regain your Health, and Reverse Diabetes! Bookmark and Share

Here is my Eat to Live review: I recently finished reading "Eat to Live: The Revolutionary Formula for Fast and Sustained Weight Loss" by Joel Fuhrman, M.D. Eat To Live review

He has done extensive research on healthy eating, and his book includes over 20 pages of notes that list his references of scientific studies.

While the title implies that the book is all about weight loss, it also is about regaining your health. In the book, and on his website, there are many testimonials to the fact that people that follow his eating advice have been able to reverse diabetes, lower cholesterol, and gain other health benefits.

For myself, I was beginning to think that I had Fibromyalgia and Chronic Fatigue, because I was in so much pain and was tired all the time.

I started his plan on 7/20/09. Once I eliminated dairy (and other foods) from my diet, my aches and pains started to disappear, and I had more energy!

Update on 9/9/09: I have lost a total of 18 pounds, and continue to feel better every day.

For those of you who don't want to give up dairy, realize that this is just recommended for the 6-week program. You can re-introduce some foods after that time, if you want. I personally LOVE yogurt and cheese, but now that I know how they make my body feel, it is easy to choose not to eat them.

Removing dairy from your diet is just part of the 6 week plan. He recommends focusing on eating the most nutritionally dense foods possible, for the majority of your intake.

Dr. Joel Fuhrman writes about how different foods act in our bodies, so you can understand why he recommends certain foods over others. He also includes 7 day meal plans for both vegetarians and non-vegetarians. Be aware that your weight loss might be less if you include meat.
