Feb/March Special!

It's springtime! Well, not quite. But I sure have spring fever. It's been a long, cold winter this year in the Pacific NW.

So for the months of February and March, I'm offering a free hand paraffin dip with every massage! A sure way to warm up, and help out those hands that might be a bit dry from the winter weather.

Spring Cleaning/Clutter

Along the lines of spring (and spring cleaning), I was reading some articles about clearing out the clutter. I know for me, if I'm surrounded by too much clutter, I can't focus on the task at hand, and I always have that little nagging stress in the back of my mind.

Here are a few tips:

1. Set aside just 10 minutes a day to go through and clean out items that you no longer need. Anything that can be donated goes into one box. Anything that can be recycled goes in another. The last box is for trash. Then take the items to be donated to your favorite charity, put the recyclables into the recycling, and the trash in the trash.

2. My way of cleaning/organizing is to pull EVERYTHING out of an area... whether that is a closet, a dresser, a shed, or a room. That can be very overwhelming, as it takes a lot of dedicated time to do that. So I am going to try the method of just clearing out one shelf at a time - and NOT worry about getting it all organized. First, get rid of what I'm not using. Once that is all done, THEN I can go back and organize. And more than likely, find more items to give away.

3. One person mentioned that her goal was to get rid of 365 things in 365 days. That could be one item a day, every day, or "x" number of items on say a weekend. She did reach her goal, by the way.

I hope that this has given you some ideas on getting a jump-start on spring!
