Mid-January Musings....

Here it is, past the middle of January already. Where does the time go?? I think of all my goals, and the steps that I was going to implement in my schedule each day to accommodate them, and wonder what happened?

This is nothing new in my life. I, like many people, tend to take on too many projects at once, then get overwhelmed, and do nothing, or very little to work on/towards them.

So I'm offering this reminder to everyone, knowing that it is really for myself:

Break down your goals into manageable steps, and do something every day. That might mean reading/studying, clarifying your goals, or actually DOING something! (What a concept...)

Think of where you want to be, and what you want to be doing in 1, 3, and 5 years. Then work backwards. If one of your goals is financial... how much do you want to be making? What is your timeline? How much do you need to make today, in 6 months, in 1 year, in 2 years, etc to reach your goal?

If health and fitness is another of your goals, what does that mean for you? Is it a weight that you want to be? A clothes size? Something else measurable, like how far you can walk/run for a certain time? Again, break it down into little steps. What can you do today, to help get you there? Do you need to change any habits?

Take it slow... you don't need to change everything at once. Just implement one thing at a time. Before you know it, you will be much further along than you thought possible.

Just remember to do something every day towards your goals, and you will get there!
